Besides the end of winter, this week features no brand-new events, but in addition to increased drops for the weekend, a couple of favourites from the past are back. Players old and new will find something suited to their needs.
Some old and new offers are available in the DShop, if you want to make the most of your DKC.
We’re turning up the loot dial this weekend for all servers. Starting right after maintenance, and lasting until Monday, March 1st, 7pm server time (CET), the item drop rate will be increased to 200% on all normal channels, and to 300% on both PK channels.
And we’ll do it again next week!
Remember that item drop rate increases the chances that a dead monster will drop anything at all. It doesn’t apply to most bosses, because they have a 100% chance to drop from a fixed item table.
Tour of Duty: Shangri-La
A few months ago, we held an event which featured a series of daily quests from various NPC’s in Shangri-La. You can once gain take up a Tour of Duty of 12 quests total, and be rewarded with experience and adventure points for each four you complete. By the time you’re done all 12, you’ll have received a total of more than one million adventure points and one billion experience points. All in a day’s work.
Bring it! Cause I'm going to Shangri-Leezy!
You’ll get an additional Shangri-La Lucky Box once you complete the final quest, too.
You will need to have already completed all of the main story quests in Shangri-La in order to begin this quest chain. Each individual quest in the tour is limited to once per day, so you might have to catch up again if you don’t complete the whole chain the day before.
It’s back! Dread Laiden in Crespo’s Treasure (Hard), as well as all bosses (except Abyss Death Herald) in Karon’s Transport Shop (Fresh) (party mode only) will drop a Secret Stash, containing additional loot.
Turn the Pink Floyd record off, it's not that kind of stash.
Each stash is guaranteed to contain one item from the first drop set. 10% of the time, an entry from the second drop set will appear too.
Abyss Death Herald drops a stash, but it’s empty. Or rather, you don’t want whatever is inside, considering what he’s been using it for since being afflicted with Karon’s Seed of Corruption.
Yarr, me bowels be givin' the ol' heave-ho!
Break Into Spring
All we can say is that our last event for this week is pretty plain. Starting on February 28th at 5pm CET, any account which logs in for at least 30 minutes will receive a free WaterMelon Rune 1 Days Ex-Box. The rune will be mailed to your highest-level character who has logged in that day, so check your clocks to make sure that your character of choice is credited.
You don't like my point of view and I'm insane
A popular seller from our Black Friday sale returns to complement some new DShop selections this week.
If there's an item been aching to pull it out of the water, there’s a good chance that you can pull it out of the Tackle Box, too. At only 50 DKC, this box is priced to move, and you can score an even fresher discount with the 10 pack.
The contents can be put towards obtaining or upgrading your Gold Dragon Scale Belt, or to help refine your fishing technique should you decide to go back to doing things the old-fashioned way. And some of it just goes well with rice.
The Hyper Glitter Box wasn’t exactly a hit last time, primarily due to the misplaced decimal point in its price, which nobody managed to catch. How much oversight do we have here, anyway?
In any case, this pet-themed box is now available at a much more reasonable price, and is currently your best chance at obtaining all of the top-tier pets.
Don't know about the future, that's anybody's guess. But for the next 7 days, you’ll be ready for whatever comes, with the Blossom Rune Package. All four rune boxes are tradable, so you can use them yourself, or share them with a friend. That’s a good deal, in my opinionation.
The Reinforced Incar Rune gives you extra bonus experience when it triggers, while the remaining runes offer temporary buffs. Whoa!
Blacksmith’s Grace 35% has become the standard for currency on Trieste. So we’re curious as to what the relative value for the remaining percentages will be, which are possible rewards from the Blacksmith’s Grace Big Fortune Box. We look forward to seeing what the free market settles on.
Thanks, and see you in Trieste!
